I will be travelling to Japan this autumn. These are the tickets I would need to purchase. Please let me know if I should buy individual tickets or a 7-day pass?
November 2 Tokyo to Hashimoto
November 4 Hashimoto to Kyoto
November 6 Kyoto to Nara
November 6 Nara to Kyoto

Hi LM,
For this itinerary I recommend purchasing normal tickets during traveling.
The JR Pass works best when traveling between different regions in Japan. In your itinerary most travel (Hashimoto, Kyoto, Nara) is close to each other and travel does not cost that much.
A JR Pass would have been useful if you returned to Tokyo after.
