Confirming Trains & JR Access

Hi Friends, I am routing myself through Japan, using Google Maps. I would like to take a day trip from Toyko and visit a few spots along the way all via train & bus. Itinerary includes.

Shinjuku Station - Kamakura Station via Shonan-Shinjuku Line (JS20)

Kamakura Station - Odawara Station (It looks like I am on JR trains (Yokosuka Line & Odoriko) but once in Odawara I will then take buses to get to Hakone Shrine. How do I know if this bus accepts JR Passes (here is the Google Link to the route - https://goo.gl/maps/6XFjDTf59q72).

Hi there,

All the trains from Shinjuku - Kamakura and Kamakura - Odawara are included. You could have take a local train from Kamakura to Shin-Yokohama and then the Shinkansen from there to Odawara.

The buses in Hakone are run by other companies and would thus not be included in the JR Pass.

Local JR buses are generally indicated by JR in front of the bus line name.
