Hello,
We are two senior persons embarking on a free and easy 9day travel from SIngapore-Osaka-Okayama-Kobe-Osaka-Shinagawa-Kanagawa-Tokyo Haneda-Singapore. We intend to combine Okayama and Kobe as a day trip. Please advise if a 7day JR Pass is worth the ticket to all places listed and which is nearest to stations near places of interest to minimise walking long distances. Or should we purchase individual trip tickets. Thank you.

Hi there,
The JR Pass would be a about similar in price as buying tickets for this route (it would depend on what trains you take).
As such you could consider a JR Pass or buy the tickets as you travel. I think the main reason to consider the JR Pass is convenience, as it is your one ticket for all your travel. Show your pass and that's all, instead of having to buy tickets each time you travel. The JR Pass would also allow you to do any additional travel, in case plans change or you fancy an extra daytrip.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
