Hi, group of 3 adults visiting Japan in Sept 2026.
Arriving Narita: 4 nights in Tokyo visiting regional areas but 1 day to my Fuji.
Travel to Kyoto
3 nights visiting regional areas
Travel to Hiroshima
3 nights visiting regional areas
Travel to Osaka
4 nights visiting regional areas

Leave via Osaka Airport.

15 days in Japan

Is it more affordable to buy individual tickets or rail pass.

Hi there,

Given your itinerary, the Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass (5 days) would be the most affordable and efficient option.

You would buy individual tickets for your travel from Tokyo to Kyoto, and then use the pass to cover your trips to Hiroshima, Miyajima, and Osaka.
