Hi,
My family and I are arriving Haneda airport on the 3rd december 2200 hours, hoping to travel on jr pass to kyoto on the same day ...is that possible?

Hi there,
I am afraid not, public transport in Japan stops around midnight and there will be no option to travel on to Kyoto, expect for renting a car yourself.
My advice would be to stay near the airport and travel on the following morning.
