Can I see a map anywhere which route is not covered or which trains is not covered by my rail pass?
I got the email with the booklet when I ordered my pass and i've looked through that but I still feel slightly lost as I would like to know more specific what I can't use and if there is other transport options for those routes.

We have a great interactive map to show you all lines that are covered and all lines that may require extra fees.

You can also find the exact coverage of the JR Pass here.
