Hello,
We are flying into Haneda Airport and flying out of Osaka (KIX)
What is the best transport, we are staying in Shinjuku region. Is it better to go from Tokyo to Takayama or to Hak

Day 1 to 5- Tokyo , maybe day trip to Kamakura
Day 6 & 7: Tokyo to Takayama
Day 8 : Takayama to Hakone
Day 9: Hakone day trip
Day 10: : Hakone to Kyoto
Day 11-13: Kyoto, day trip to Nara, etc..
Day 14: Kyoto to Osaka
Day 15: Kobe? (day trip)
Day 16: Osaka area
Day 17: Go to airport KIX

Hello there,

I'd advise traveling to Hakone before going on the Takayama, as it is closer to Tokyo. You can use the Shinkansen to travel to Odawara station. You could also use a Hakone Free Pass, which offers good value to travel around the area.

Kobe makes also very a very nice day trip if you have the time!

Hi again!

The 7 day JR Pass would be the best option if you keep the current itinerary (Tokyo - Tayama - Hakone - Kyoto), if you change Takayam and Hakone around, then it would be better to buy normal tickets as you travel.
