Dear Daniel-san, how are you?

I'll arrive at Haneda Sunday night, after 20h, which is the closing time for automatic machines, right?

So, I'll have to pay for my trip from Haneda to Kameido and the next day, pay to go to Akihabara and use my voucher to get my tickets.

Since I already have the tickets but wont be able to use them because of my time of arrival, does JR refund us for these 2 trips until I get my passes?

Why all machines have time of operation? They are automatic, right? I think there's no logic in this! lol

Hi Erico,

With a 20:00 arrival, it does mean that the JR Pass exchange office will be closed. You can use normal tickets for travel into Tokyo and then exchange the pass the next day.

JR won't refund these fares, but on the bright side, fares into Tokyo are low cost.

I think there may be a misunderstanding on automatic ticket gates, these work anytime the station is open! The only thing is that the JR Exchange manned windows have limited opening hours.
