Does it cover travel within the city? Will it work inside Tokyo, Cyoto, Osaka, Nara, etc.

How much will it cost to get to from The Tokyo Airport (NRT) to a hotel close to Tokyo station (a) by cab, and (b) train.

Are there days passes available to use the train, as the pass will be activated on April 12 or 13 2024? We will be in Tokyo on April 09 2024 so we need something in the mean time.
How much do the day passes cost?

How do we activate the card?

Can the card be puchased at the Toky airport?
Is is more expensive that way?

Hi Kam,

Costs within city limits usually cost 150-250yen per ride. This does change a bit depending on route and distance.

A taxi from Narita to Tokyo will cost anywhere between 15,000 and 20.000yen. The Narita Express is 3,000 per ticket, or around 1,400 for local train. Note that the JR Pass is not sold at the airport, so please place your order ahead of time.

Does the JR Pass cover the travel within cities?
Meaning can i use the JR pass within Tokyo, within Osaka, within Kyoto?
