JR pass redemption period

Hi there,

The exchange period is 3 months. Meaning if your pass was issued on the 23rd, then your last day is the 22nd of Nov that the pass can be activated.

Then my last day is 19 Nov? Really confused about the calculation.

But if I calculate 90 days, the last day will be on 18 Nov. Which date is correct?

It's not 90 days, it's three months. That's where the difference comes from.

Some months have 30 days, some 31 and Feb is a mess by itself :)

From Haneda airport to Shin Osaka using JR Pass.

I will arrive Haneda at midnight so will stay a night at Toyoko Inn Haneda Airport 2. The next morning, can I redeem and activate my JR pass at Tourist Information Centre at Haneda Airport Terminal 2?

And from Haneda Airport Terminal 2, is it the fastest route is to take monorail to Shinagawa station and board hikari shinkansen to Osaka?
