JR pass or normal tickets

I recommend using a 7 day JR Pass for this route.

Tokyo - Kyoto ¥ 13,600
Kyoto - Hiroshima ¥ 11,410
Hiroshima - Osaka ¥ 10,440

For a total of ¥ 35,450 or ¥ 6,340 in savings as the 7 day JR Pass is ¥ 29,110.

I have more questions:-

Based on above itinerary, when should we activate our 7 days pass?

Is it advisable to purchase a 14 days pass instead of the 7 days pass?
(So that our transfers from Haneda airport &/to Osaka airport are cover by this pass)

Can we also use the 14dsys pass while in Tokyo fr26-29 April ?

Is this more economical then the 7 days pass ?

You will want to use the 7 day JR Pass from 30/4 Tokyo to Kyoto - 5/5 Hiroshima to Osaka. This would give you the best possible savings. Most of your other travel is very local and therefor I advise buying normal tickets for the other parts.

Though travel from Haneda and to Kansai Airport are included in the Japan Rail Pass.
