Help! Hokkaido trip in Dec by train

Dear Sir

I am from Singapore. My family, 4 adults are going hokkaido this Dec. Our itinerary is as the following. Would like to find out the most economical way with JR transportation. What type of Hokkaido JR pass should we buy? Or just buy individual ticket for each trip? Your help is great appreciated.

Day 1. From Sapporo New Chitose Airport to Otaru Chikko

Day 2 Otaru Chikko to Otaru

Day 3 Otaru Chikko to Sapporo

Day 4 From Otaru Chikko to Kutchan ( going Hirafu ski resort)

Day 5 Hirafu ski resort

Day 6 Hirafu ski resort

Day 7 From Kutchan station to Hakodate

Day 8 Explore Hakodate

Day 9 From Hakodate to Toya

Day 10 From Toya to Noboribetsu

Day 11 From Noboribetsu to Sapporo New Chitose Airport

Hi Huang,

It is pretty hard itinerary to find a good pass for, this because your main travel is spread out over 8 days and most rail-passes are valid for 7 days. Still I would recommend looking into Hokkaido pass. Perhaps the 4-day flex pass could be use full if you use it to cover 4 of your most expansive travel days and supplement it by buying normal tickets for the other days.

The parts I would cover with it are 1.) Otaru Chikko to Kutchan. 2.) Kutchan station to Hakodate 3.) and Noboribetsu to Sapporo New Chitose Airport.
