I have purchased a 14 day railpass on JRPASS. In the delivered guide is mentioned visiting a rail station and booking a seat in office as only possible option. That would be very limiting because the rest of our group has puchrased the official japanrailpass and will be able to book seats using web pages. Is there a possibility to book seats online with JRPASS or I just do have to go to every rail station to book it in office?

We do not yet offer the option for online seat reservations on JRPass.com, I hope this is coming soon but it takes a lot of work behind the scene and I don't have any ETA.
For the time being, seat reservations can be made at any JR Station or ticket machine.
