Alternatives if needed in Osaka

We are seven days ing Tokyo using JRPass as out tranpo, on our 5th day we are heading Osaka. We are going to use JRPass at the same time a Kyoto Bus Tour for the attractions in Kyoto (Oct 30) But im worried if the attractions at Oct 29 would still cover by JRPass. Also what is the most recommended area in osaka to book a hotel with our itinerary?

i've checked the lines it seems JRpass can't cover it. what are the best alternatives without use of extra tranpo fees. we are willing for long walks btw. lol

Tuesday – Oct 29
• Manami • Shinsekai • Osaka Castle • Go back Hotel Wednesday – Oct 30
• Kyoto Tower • Kiyomizudera Temple • Nijo Castle • Yasaka Shrine • Muruyama Park • Return to hotel Thursday – Oct 31
• Go to Kansai Airport

Hi there,

I am not completely sure what your question is but you can reach all destinations on the 29th by JR and the JR Pass without having to pay extra.

For Minami, also knows is namba, travel to the JR-Namba station and you can walk the area from there.

For Shinsekai, take the Osaka city loop line to Shin-Imamiya and get out there, the area is in 5 min walking distance.

For Osaka Castle, go to the station called Osakajoukoen (meaning Osaka castle park) and it is just a short walk from there. Also see the Osaka Castle Access Guide.

The best place for a hotel is either Namba (minami) which is the shopping heart of Osaka and has a great ''down town'' feeling or Umeda near Osaka station, which makes for a great hub to visit places around Osaka but also Kyoto.
