I would recommend buying normal tickets for this travel. The Kansai Wide pass would not cover this route and the normal JR Pass does but your itinerary would not make the JR Pass an economic opstion.

For your arrival at Osaka you could consider buying an ICOCA card to make your travel around Kansai more convenient.

The ICOCA card is very useful for local train, for instance within Osaka or to Nara. You will still have to purchase normal tickets for longer stance travel to Takayama and Shirakawago.

We also use the JR Train from takayama to nara? Do you know how much is the ticket price?

You can purchase the ICOCA card directly at Kansai Airport, no reservations are required.

Here is the route Nara - Takayama. The ticket price is ¥ 10,310.

The transport from nara to takayama also take by jr train or bus?

So how about the ticket fees from takayama to shirakawago and takayama to Nagoya?

Is the normal jr pass that ¥28,300 (7days) that able to use for takayama and shirakawago?

Hi Wendrey,

The JR Pass covers travel to Takayama by train. However the bus from Takayama - Shirakawago is not included.

A 1 way Takayama - Nagoya = ¥ 5,870 and the bus Takayama - Shirakawago is around 3,000yen.
