WE PLAN TO FLY WITH BRITISH AIRWAYS TO THE MAIN TOKYO AIRPORT.
IS THERE A TRAIN FROM THE AIRPORT GOING DIRECT TO KYOTO, NOT THE FAST EXPENSIVE ONE.
WHAT WOULD BE THE SINGLE FARE PLEASE.
REGARDS,
EDWARD BOOTH

Hi Edward Booth,
There's not a direct train going from Kyoto and I would strongly recommend taking the Narita Express to Tokyo and the Bullet train from there to Kyoto as this is by far the quickest and most convenient way to travel there. A one way fare is ¥ 16,330.
For reference, in theory you could use locals trains to travel to Kyoto and save some money as one way is ¥ 9,030 but involves 7 transfers and a whopping 11 hours of train travel. Here is the full route in Hyperdia.
I hope this helps!
Daniel
