I intend to travel from narita airport to osaka- stay in osaka for 2 days and travel to tokyo and visits tokyo .
I intend to stay in tokyo for 5 days... is it appropriate to get the 7 days JR pass...?

Hi there,
Using a 7 day JR Pass could certainly help you make savings. The 7 day JR Pass is about the same price as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Osaka using the Shinkansen. For there any additional travel will allow you to make savings, for instance travel to Narita Airport or local travel on the JR network in Tokyo.
