Hello
We plan to visit the Golden temple,silver pavillion ,philosopher's path in Kyoto
But i noticed in most web sites ,they speak of using the bus service ..cant we use the rail service ?

Hi there,
JR doesn't operate a very large service within Kyoto (there is a service to Arashiyama), so most people get around on foot or by using the non-JR bus or metro network. I recommend the bus service - you can pick up an all day bus pass for ¥500 on arrival at JR Kyoto station.
