I'm planning a trip for about 8 days:
Tokyo 2 days - Osaka - 2 days - Kyoto 3 days & straight from Kyoto to Narita. Can you advise was us the best route to maximize my JR pass. Is it worth to make a day trip to Hiroshima from Osaka? Pl advise.

Sorry, I forgot to ask: Does the JR pass covers Shinkensen Nozomi 221. I'm looking at hyperdia, it seems to be recommending this. If not, what should I take. I've bought the JR Pass and want to maximise its use.

Hi there,
You can use the Hikari Shinkansen for travel to Osaka, Kyoto and back to Narita Airport (via Tokyo). The Nozomi is indeed not included, whilst searching Hyperdia, make sure the Nozomi option is not selected.
A visit to Hiroshima is recommended if you have the option. You will get the best out of the JR Pass and your time in Japan as well (at least if you ask me).
