Sapporo - kyoto

You can take the train, fly or ferry :)

Using the JR Pass, take train from Sapporo to Shin-Hakodate, from there the Hokkaido Shinkansen to Tokyo and finally the Tokaido Shinkansen from there to Kyoto.
