Narita to UMEJIMA station

Hi there,

For Umejima, I recommend getting to Kitasenju station with the JR Pass (the majority of the travel), and then transferring to the non-JR Tobu Skytree line for Umejima (¥140). Here's a sample itinerary for you.

i had another question - we plan to visit Nikko as well ..is it closer to go to Nikko from Kyoto or Tokyo ?
and which route can we use ?

Nikko is closest to Tokyo (1 hr north of Tokyo), and so it makes sense to visit Nikko while you are in the city. Here's a sample itinerary from Tokyo to Nikko for you, changing at Utsunomiya.
