I will arrive in Narita around 18:00 on Friday in Jan, and want to go Nagoya by train the same day. Do I need to reserve seats

What date will you be travelling? If it is any normal day in Jan, then it won't be needed.

It will be 27 Jan 2023 around 6pm arriving in Narita. Do I need to reserve a train from Narita to Nagoya, please.

I don't think this is needed, as this is a normal day and there will be plenty of seats to go around!
