Hello,
we are visitting Japan in November of this year. we plan to use JR pass for these places: Aomori, Kanazawa and Kusatsu.
Do we need the whole JR pass or just JR East ?

Hi Lap,
JR East is a little bit silly, as they do not sell one JR East pass that covers both Aomori and Kanazawa.
As such, your best option is a normal JR Pass.
