My travel plan in Japan as follows:-
Day 1 - Osaka Kansai airport to Osaka City
Day 2 - Day trip from Osaka City to Wakayama City
Day 4 - Osaka to Kyoto City
Day 6 - Kyoto City to Tokyo
Day 9 - Tokyo to Narita Airport
Please advise if I should buy 4 days JR West Rail Pass (6,000 Yen) or 7 days JR Rail Pass (28,300 Yen) or if individual trip purchase will be more economical for my itinerary? Can I use JR West Rail Pass for my day trip to Wakayama City?

Here are your costs as listed:
TOTAL: ¥23330 for 6 legs
As you can see, your ticket costs don't exceed the 7 day pass price so you'll certainly be better off buying tickets.
The kansai area pass does not cover the trip to Wakayama city, so that will have to be made separately. Because of this it's not going to be good value to buy the JR West rail pass as you are unlikely to spend the minimum ¥6000 on other rail that you need to to make it economical.
