JR Pass Inquiries

Unfortuonatly at that time of night all the exchange offices in the Tokyo area will be closed so you will have to activate your rail pass the following day. If you let me know where you're planning to stay overnight I can recommend the nearest exchange office to you?

Hi there,

Unfortunately you won't be able to exchange your Rail-pass the day that you arrive. All offices are closed before 23.00.
You can't ask someone else to do it for you either as you need to show your own passport + Tourist Visa.

If you want to exchange your pass early the next morning I would recommend that you go to the Tokyo JR-CENTRAL Ticket Office as they open at 7.30 in the morning.
