How can I utilize my JR pass?

Hi! I'm going to spend 10 days 9 night this coming August which covering 2 nights Osaka, 3 nights in Tokyo, 1 night in Hakone and 3 nights in Kyoto.

Following is my itinerary and would really really appreciate if you can shed some light on it.

DAY 1: REACH KIX (ABT 11PM). Check in hotel NEW OSAKA HOTEL SHINSAIBACHI

DAY 2: Osaka Castle - Hozenji Yokocho Alley - AMERIKAMURA, SHINSAIBASHI SHOPPING ARCADE and DOTONBORI

DAY 3: Tokyo!

DAY 4: Tsukiji Fish Market - Meiji Shrine - Shinjuku, Harajuku, Shibuya Night Market

DAY 5: Odaiba Island, Sensoji Temple Asasuka - Roponggi Nightlife

DAY 6: Hakone!

DAY 7: Kyoto

DAY 8: Higashiyama District - Kiyomuzudera Temple - Kinkakuji - Sagano Bamboo Grove

DAY 9:The Sagano scenic railway - Fushimi Inari Shrine

DAY 10: Kansai Airport

I will be reaching Kansai International Airport late about 11pm and concerns are :

• What are other choices of transport that i can take in case my flight delay ?

• Shall I kick start of using my 7 days JR pass once I reach Kansai Airport to my hotel in Osaka? Because if I only use it on 3rd day from Osaka-Tokyo, I won't be able to use it too on my last day from Kyoto to Airport. Please advise.

• In that case, what would be other mode of transport that I can take back to airport on last day?

• Can we use JR pass to Kyoto from Hakone on day 7?

• There are a few passes around but which one suits my case the best? Kansai Thru Pass? or Osaka 1 day pass & Kyoto citi pass?
