Hello, approx. How long will this trip be and if jr pass is worth it. The exact destination is sanga onsen, 6961-1 Manganji, Minamioguni-machi, Aso-gun, Kumamoto-ken. And then from sanga onsen, I plan to go to kyoto.

So basically, will jr lines cover me so i won't have to switch over to any of the private lines?

Hi there,

The JR Pass covers all rail travel to Kurokawa, this is basically up to Aso-station. From there the last part is traveled by bus, which unfortunately is not covered by the JR Pass. More access details can be found here.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
