We purchased 2 midori JR passes but had to cancel our trip because of the sudden death of my wife's father. We probably can't use our passes within the valid time. Is it possible to get an extension for compassionate reasons as some airlines do?

There are no provisions in the JR Pass regulations that allow for extensions under any circumstances. However, please contact us via [email protected] if you ordered your JR Pass through JR Pass.com and we will see what options are available.
