We are going to be in Japan for 12 days, however we will have a week in the middle of the trip where we will not be using the rail. The first couple days will be short rail use around Tokyo and the latter portion of the trip will include additional short trips in the Tokyo vicinity as well as a round trip from Tokyo to Nagano. What is the best pass option for us or should we purchase individual tickets?
