Please advice if the JR pass covers 1st 7 days of the trip?
Here's my itinerary end of Apr:
25th: Arrive late night 10pm, Check-in hotel near Toyo area
26th: Tokyo
27th: Tokyo
28th: Kyoto
29th: Osaka
30th: Osaka
1st: Back to Tokyo, Narita airport to catch a flight to Sapporo
2nd-5th: Sapporo,Hakodate,Otaru
6th: Flight back to tokyo connecting to international flight at Haneda airport
How long does it take to travel from Tokyo to Kyoto, Kyoto to Osaka and Osaka back to Tokyo?

Hi there,
I do think a 7 day JR-Pass would be beneficial for your travels, it is about the same price as a return Tokyo Kyoto/Osaka. Any additional travel you do with it basically becomes free! For instance you can use it to travel between Kyoto and Osaka, local JR lines in Osaka and to Narita Airport.
The travel time by bullet train between Tokyo and Kyoto is about 160 minutes, between Kyoto and Osaka 30 minutes by normal express train and about 180 minutes from Osaka to Tokyo by Shinkansen.
