Hi, can i check if i purchase a 4 day flexible hokkaido pass, can i choose to activate the pass on another day upon exchanging for the pass using the exchange order? For example, i exchange for rail pass on 1st Jul and inform the staff that i only wish to activate on 2 Jul 17 on the same day ..Can i also make seat reservations for rides on 2 Jul 17 on the 1st July itself? Thanks to advise..

Hi there,
Here are the official rules for exchanging the JR Hokkaido 4-day Flex pass:
*The date of use cannot be selected with the Flexible 4-Day Ticket. It is effective the day you either purchase or exchange it, that being day one, and continues to be effective for ten days in which it can be used any four days either consecutive or not. EX: If you purchase or exchange a Flexible 4-Day ticket the 1st of July, it is effective until July 10th, and can be used any four days within the ten day period. *
