We are traveling to Japan from 4/25/24-05/01/24 we will be going from Tokyo to shin-aomori then back down to Osaka then going back to Tokyo. should i go with the 7 day JRpass or splitting the tickets up between the regions? also is it worth to upgrade the JRpass to the more expensive one?

Hi there,
I would certainly recommend purchasing a JR Pass, your shinkansen tickets will be very expensive. Deciding whether to upgrade to the green car is up to your preferences - all of your train journeys will be quite long and so if you prioritise comfort and quiet it seems like a good idea.
