We have bought the Kansai area regional pass for 5 days. Can we use it for the shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto or Osaka?

Hi there,
As applied in the name, this pass is valid for the wider Kansai Area.
Tokyo is not part of that, a normal ticket would be required to get there.
