Hi there,
Yes, I'd be happy to advise :) Given that you go to many different big cities, I would use a 14 day Japan Rail Pass. The JR Pass covers travel to all the places you visit, like Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka, Kanazawa and back to Tokyo.
