Hi there,
Generally I would advise against it. The Japan Rail Pass is a great option if you travel cross country but will not help you make savings for local travel around Tokyo alone.
You can use the JR Pass Fare Calculator to find an approximate ticket cost of a single route or even your full itinerary.
