I need advice on using the transportation and which pass do i have to buy to save money ?

I’m arriving at Tokyo on the third week of January 2018. Here are my itinerary:
Day 1 -2 tokyo
Day 3 Tokyo - Osaka by airplane
Day 4 Osaka - Kobe - Osaka
Day 5 Osaka- Kyoto - Osaka
Day 6 USS Osaka
Day 7 Osaka
Day 8 to KIX

1. Do i need to buy kansai area pass or IC card?
2. Is pasmo suica and icoca has the same function ?
3. Is IC Card can be use for all subway?
