I have a day trip to Nagoya from Osaka. I would like to take a roundtrip on the Shinkansen. Are there any cheaper passes that can avoid me paying the full ticket prices?

Hi there,
There are no passes for this part to give you a discount on the Shinkansen, expect for the JR Pass.
Sometimes though you can purchase the Kodama Flat Plan, this however needs to be purchased days in advance at the station.
