HI, I am arriving Narita on Feb 16 , approximately around 6 PM and going to kyoto same day. Can I catch the train going to kyoto , how long is the JR train ride and which train should I use? Thank you

Hello there,
It's a close call, the last train connection possible with the JR Pass departs at 18:48.
My advise would be to stay the first night in Tokyo and travel on the following morning to Kyoto.
The entire trip takes about 270minutes.
