I cannot seem to decide which train pass would make more sense for my trip, if any; any help/advice greatly appreciated!
Here is the route I would like to follow:
Osaka airport - Kyoto - Nara - Yoshino - Tanabe - Ise - Takayama - Osaka - Osaka airport.

Hi Chloe,
For this trip it would be better to buy normal tickets, as the price for normal tickets on this route is below the cost of a JR Pass.

Many thanks for your reply, Daniel! Do you think that I should take a Kansai pass instead? I am debating going to Hiroshima, too, but am not sure I'll have enough time. I wouldn't want to be stuck without a pass if I end up needing one!

Hi Chloe,
I don't really see a good use of a Kansai Pass.
However you may be able to get good value out of a 7 day JR Pass if you can include Hiroshima and Takayama within its validity period. Planning is key here.
