Is it worth getting a 7 day or 14 day JR Pass?
Itinerary:
Day 1: Narita Airport to Tokyo
Day 2: Tokyo
Day 3: Tokyo
Day 4: Tokyo to Hakone
Day 5 - 9: Hakone to Kyoto
Day 10: Kyoto to Hiroshima and Miyajima Island
Day 11: Miyajima island to Hiroshima to Okayama to Osaka
Day 12 - 14: Osaka with day trip to Nara
Day 14: Osaka to Tokyo
Day 15: Tokyo station to Narita airport

Hi Josette,
Most of your destinations are included in the JR Pass. You can either purchase a JRPass for the whole trip which would benefit you in terms of planning and ease of use, or you can purchase a 7-day pass in tandem with a Hakone FreePass.
Because you'll be using the shinkansen for the duration of your trip it makes the most sense to buy a 14-Day JRPass.
Also bear in mind that to get to Hakone you'll have to take the romance-car, which is not covered by the JRPass.
