Hi I plan to travel in September for 14 days. I want to buy the 14 day pass but noticed Shinkansen service between Hiroshima and Kyoto and Kyoto and Tokyo uses Nozomi. I understand that this is excluded from the pass Is there an alternative Shinkansen service for the following itinerary: Tokyo-Hakone-Hiroshima-Miyajima-Hiroshima-Kyoto-Takayama-Tokyo-Narita airport? Please advise best options. Thank you

Hi there,
Yes, you can use the Sakura and Hikari Shinkansen instead and reach all the places you want to visit. Most with minimum difference in travel time compared to the Nozomi.
For travel times, I recommend learning to plan with Hyperdia this way you can find any route/timetable and more. It's a great tool for planning with the JR Pass. We also have a useful interactive map with all JR lines included.
