I will have one day to experience the bullet train. I will have a Saturday or Sunday to make a round trip from Kobe. I would ask for suggestion for time and day and other help you may offer so I may compete my quest.

Hi Chris Hill,
It will depend on how much you would want to spend on a ticket. Kobe is located in the Kansai Area, you can take the bullet train to Osaka in 20min, Kyoto 50min. Trips that take a bit longer and are also worth considering would be a visit to Himeji or Hiroshima. Train services are frequent and you could come early to the station to return later the same day.
