Would appreciate your advice

Hi there,

We are travelling to Japan on March 12, 2025. We plan to do the following and would like advice about the best rail pass to get. We were thinking of getting a 14 day railpass.

March 12 -15: Tokyo
March 16 - 19 Kyoto
March 20 - 21 Hiroshima
March 22 - 25 Kumamoto
March 26 - 27 Okayama
March 28 back to Tokyo and fly home to Australia

Could you please advise what would be the best option? We were thinking to start the railpass on the day we leave to Kyoto.

Also, we will need to book oversized luggage seats, can we pre-book them if we have a railpass? I am worried we won't be able to get seats if we leave it until we arrive in Japan.
