Good evening, we will be traveling to Japan on the 19th of July, I am trying to understand the JR pass, from my understanding I can order it and it is sent to my home? How far in advance do I need to order it? Can I order ot and have it sent to my hotel, and how far in advance should I do that? Does the 7 day pass start from the first time I use it? And most importantly, if I travel from Tokyo to Sapporo and back within those 7 days, does it cover both ways on the bullet train.

Hi Jason,

Yes, this is correct. We will deliver the pass to you - I suggest booking at least 2 weeks ahead of time.

When you activate the pass in Japan, then you can select your starting date.

Finally, yes, the return Tokyo - Sapporo is included. A one way trip Tokyo - Sapporo is similar in price to a 7-day JR Pass, so your saving a really good amount.

Thank you, that answered all of my questions, unfortunately we will be there this coming Tuesday, so it is to short of a time to order, we will get them at the airport.
