Friends and I are traveling to Japan on 5/20-5/26. We have bought the JR Pass and I am wondering if we can reserve seats on this site or if we have to wait to reserve seats once in Japan?
We will be traveling from Tokyo to Kyoto on 5/23 and then Kyoto to Tokyo on 5/25.
Also, can we use this pass for other train while traveling around Tokyo? Do we need a separate pass or ticket once we are in Tokyo?

You can reserve seats once you're in Japan and have exchanged the Japan Rail Pass. For details see:

You can use the JR Pass on any JR line in Tokyo, like the JR Yamanote loop line, JR Central Chuo line and many many more. The get the best value out of your pass, I recommend getting a bit familiar with JR map in Tokyo before travelling.
