Narita Express with the jr pass

I'm arriving at Narita Airport on October 5th at 8:30pm. I believe I need to take the Narita Express to Tokyo station. However Im unsure how to get from Tokyo station to Hamamatsucho station. Am I able to take a direct train from Narita to Hamamatsucho Station?

Also, the following day October 6th we will be traveling to Kyoto. Do I need to make a reservation in advance while using my jr pass?

Hi there!

Hamamatsucho is just around the corner from Tokyo station, well not really but it is very close. In fact it's just 6 minutes away by train from Tokyo station.

To get to Hamamatsucho from Tokyo take the Yamanote line bound for Shinagawa and Shibuya and get out at Hamamatsucho (the 3rd stop from Tokyo station).

For the following day, I don't think that you have to worry about getting seats as the 6th of Oct is a very normal day. You can just go to the station, show your JR Pass and get on the train. Alternatively if you want the extra security make a seat reservation free of charge the day before, either way should be fine.
