We plan to start to use our Japan rail Pass from Kawaguchiko. The route is: Kawaguchiko to Otsuki to Takao to Hachioji to Shin-Yokohama to Kyoto.
Will the JR pass be valid on this trains ?
Think I read somewhere that it is not valid between Otsuki and some stations ?
Greetings from Denmark, Lotte
Hi Lotte,
The JR Pass will cover the greater part of the journey, only between Kawaguchiko - Otsuki will you have to use the Fujikyu rail company, which does not accent the JR Pass. This part requires a 1,150yen fare. The route is covered as of Otsuki by the JR Pass.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
