JR rail pass for this itinerary?

Hi Terry,

I think you will be flying to Okinawa and back to Tokyo as well? If that's the case then the only intercity trip left is Tokyo - Kyoto and this alone would not be enough for the JR Pass to be cost-efficient. As such I would just buy normal tickets for that leg.

This might be different if you say took the ferry from Kagoshima - Okinawa (or back) but given that you have 4 days for Osaka, I think flying is the better option.
