JR Kansai WIDE Area Pass

Hi Carrie,

The Haruka also stops at Shin-Osaka, so you could just get on there if you wish.

Alternatively it is possible to ride the JR Rapid Airport service to Kansai Airport.

Btw, can I ask if the only difference between this pass and JR Kansai area pass is that the wide pass includes Shinkansen? Other than that, either pass allows me to travel on JR lines within Kansai cities like Kobe, Himeiji and Osaka, right?

Hi Carrie,

THe Wide Pass covers a slightly wider area and more luxury trains including a section of the Shinkansen between Shin-Osaka and Okayama.

It also includes travel on local trains in Osaka, Kobe and to Himeji.
