Hello!
I and my big boy will travel to Japan from October 24 to November4,2015. We land at Narita airport, stay in a hotel in Shinjuku, then to Nikko, then to Akita, back to Tokyo, Shinjuku, and finally to Narita airport on the 4th of November. Will JR East pass be worth it with 22000 Yens each? Or anything else is better for this travel itinerary. Thank you very much in advance for your response.

Hi Suphanee Jancamai,
Yes you can make good savings if you plan to go up all the way to Akita. You can also use a 7 day JR Pass this gives you 7 days of unlimited travel (instead of 5 within a 14 day period).
